I have been using Olymic since we built the deck (6 years ago). It's protected it so far but I have began to notice some excessive weathering in a few areas so I decided to look at reviews & try another product. Right from the start of applying I noticed the TWP required a much longer drying time. The previous product was dry within a day & some areas of application TWP required a good 3 days. I live in a dryer climate so I would definitely check the weather forcast prior to planning your project.) I have a fairly large deck & little to no assistance therefore my intensions are to use the highest quality product that I can afford & do the job right the first time. The TWP had a wet, oily & beatiful red shine while it was drying. Once it dried now the color is more of a paint-like coating. It has a rich very appealing redwood color. I need to add that we have had several rains in the week after application which is rare for our area. I am curious to see how this product will hold up in the next year or so. Excessive heat, sun fading, blowing sand & dirt are our biggest challenges here, rainfall is seldom a concern. I have read some good reviews about TWP & am curious to find out how it holds up to the West Texas weather.
