DEFY Wood Brightener gal

I've tried many outdoor protection products and now have found a winner. Defy cleaner, Defy Deck Brightener, and then Defy Extreme Deck Stain. Easy to use, Fantastic results. Did what it said it would do and more. About time a product line lived up to its claim.

After cleaning with Defy Wood Cleaner we used the Brightener. The Brightener gave us an even colored base to stain. Made for a great looking finished product.

My contractor used cleaner and brightener on deck which was untreated but aged over the summer. Wood looked great and took the stain extremely well. Very satisfied with product.

I had already power washed our deck, it looked good, when deciding on the stain to put on I saw the wood brightener as a required/suggested step, boy was I surprised to see how bright the wood had become after using this product its 20yrs. old and looked new again, easy to use and the results were stunning. Thank you Defy for these great products.

After using the defy wood cleaner, deck was still wet. We applied wood brightener and did not feel it was doing anything but running off. We applied it to remainder of deck after it had dried but was slightly damp. We also did some light scrubbing to the deck floor. The next morning the wood looked brand new!! This entire line up of defy products are AMAZING!!! This was applied to 4 year old untreated deck.

This product is required prep for Defy Wood Stain. It was easy to use and seemed to clean the wood. Since the wood had had very little use and no weathering, having been covered for 7 months, it is hard to say how much cleaning occurred.

Couldn't tell much difference after using the wood cleaner, but I feel it was a necessary step to neutralize the cleaning ingredients before moving on to the next step of staining. We have a 1000 sq. ft. deck so our project took two days. After the first day without the brightening solution, I noticed residue from the wood cleaner. Based on seeing this, I knew the brightener would solve the problem and it worked! This merchant delivers great customer service, fast shipping and excellent pricing!

Seemed to do its job. Had already used a powdered oxygenated wood cleaner and initial pressure washing prior to using the product., so I'm not sure how much it actually brightened the wood. Used it mostly to change the PH of the wood that may have been altered by the oxygenated wood cleaner. Will use it next year on some pressure treated decking I have at a family cottage to determine the actual usefulness.

Zero stars. This product was useless. "Brightener" used to be a product that consistently removed gray from wood, returning it to it's natural color as if it were new wood. This product did absolutely nothing whatsoever. I was just trying to remove slight gray color that remained after we sanded some weathered wood, and it made no different at all. Perhaps it's good for a little cleaning job, but hundreds of other products can clean. It's a straight up scam to use labels like "brightener" for a product that is nothing like what "brightener" has meant for decades. I feel duped.

This product is amazing, cleared weathered grey color from a mahogany picnic table that I couldn't clear for 15 years. Table is like brand new after stained with DEFY extreme stain. Both products are easy to work with, would definitely buy again.

Does a great job of making the wood look like new again (or as much as possible). Essential if using semi-transparent stain. And it's easy, apply, wait just a few minutes, and rinse it off.
